EXCLUSIVE: H1 Owner Finally Revealed - Arsyan Ismail, the Malaysian Behind ai.com’s US$70 Million Sale

The owner behind H1 has finally been revealed. MalaysiaCarPlate.com has verified directly with Arsyan Ismail that he secured the registration number and H11 as well.

After speculation about the identity of H1's winning bidder, MalaysiaCarPlate.com has checked both the JPJeBid details and the claim about his existing collection directly with Arsyan. He confirmed that both are true.

H1 and H11: More Than RM12.3 Million in Winning Bids

The JPJeBid screenshot accompanying this report displays the account name ARSYAN BIN ISMAIL, with H1 and H11 both showing Position: 1 and their countdown timers at zero.

The amounts shown match the winning bids published in the H-series results, as reported by Malay Mail, citing the Ministry of Transport. H1 attracted the highest bid in the series, while H11 also featured among the ten highest-priced numbers.

Together, the two successful bids amount to approximately RM12.34 million.

The H-series auction ran from 16 to 20 September 2026, in conjunction with Malaysia Day. It generated total proceeds of RM91,206,642, including service fees, with 34,664 bidders participating and 8,223 registration numbers successfully transacted.

A Facebook post under the name Mohd Fadli Salleh, reproduced in the accompanying screenshot, discussed a netizen's claim about it's owner.

Rather than naming the successful bidder, the claim offered a specific clue: the person who won H1 was also the owner of C1, D1, K1, N1, Q1 and T1. The post acknowledged that the information had not been verified.

MalaysiaCarPlate.com has now checked that claim directly with Arsyan, who confirmed that those six registration numbers belong to his collection.

Beyond his number-plate collection, Arsyan is known in Malaysia's technology community and internationally through his connection to ai.com.

In February 2026, SAYS identified him as the Malaysian entrepreneur who sold the domain to Crypto.com co-founder Kris Marszalek in April 2025, in a transaction reported at US$70 million.

The Financial Times separately reported the US$70 million transaction, with the price confirmed by domain broker Larry Fischer. Its reporting described the deal as the largest publicly disclosed domain-name sale at the time and stated that payment was made entirely in cryptocurrency.

Arsyan's technology background extends beyond domain ownership. According to SAYS, his career includes work on Kawanster, programming roles at Nuffnang and Friendster, and the establishment of 1337 Tech, a business focused on application development.

There is a striking parallel between the two stories: a two-letter internet address and a registration number consisting of one letter and one digit. Both are exceptionally concise identifiers, now linked to the same Malaysian entrepreneur.
